2007 Seneca main room slide problem

Yahoo Message Number: 9015
On our 2007 Jayco Seneca 34SS main room slide,
I found grindings in my forward bay area under where the rail
is located.
It strains when being brought in but not so much being extended.
What has been the repair for this issue been, is it some thing
like replacing the gear?
Should I take this someplace or is it easy enough to do by myself?
Thanks for info,
Kev

Are you sure the sounds are underneath or could
It be your slide topper. I have a 2008 36MS and after we determined there was a manufacturer's defect, every year we have to adjust the topper.

It is the slide, I found ground up pieces of metal inside the forward center bay where the track is.
I do have a creeking noise with a breeze from the topper, thanks for reminding me...oh boy something else to do lol.

The toppers on my 2007 34SS seem to bind a little. How do you "adjust" them? Thanks.

I have a tech that comes to my house and did the service but it seems when we discussed that it was the screws that hold the unit to the coach and the slide get loose and need to be tightened down.
