The Big Swap-eroo...

Yahoo Message Number: 2363
After a lot of pondering, research and wheelin' and dealin', this past
week I drove our 07 Jayco 33DS Greyhawk to a dealership in PA and
swapped it for a low miles 07 Endura 6340. Having been pleased with the
Kodiak gasser in the Greyhawk, we went the same route with the Endura.
The round trip (about 1,400 miles) was very pleasant and reaffirmed my
affection for the Kodiak chassis and drivetrain (even without any
chassis upgrades).

Overall this was sort of a fun project as I did everything via internet
except the actual trip up to make the official swap. I was able to
almost entirely avoid dealing with "expert" RV sales reps who the
previous week were "expert" floor covering sales reps. I had decided
to focus on the 2006 model year as I felt I wouldn't have to come up
with much additional cash that way. I shopped coast-to-coast and the
deals offered were all over the place. Until I located this 07 model,
the best deal on the table was a straight trade for an 06 Endura in AZ.
That deal eventually broke down amid the logistics. Several dealers
wanted $25K and above to make the trade.

In comparing the Greyhawk to the Endura we had to make some compromises
but overall we are very pleased with our decision. For us, right up near
the top of the list on the plus side are the thermopane windows and
enclosed plumbing and tanks.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Ron Hall for his advice as
well as his ongoing contributions to the various boards and fora. He's
been sort like the Bob Villa of Kodiak motorhomes for a lot of us :-)

Glad to help Bill. Hope your 6340 turns out to be as good a RV as ours is.
I can think of lots of upgrades that you can do to yours. Just look at my photo gallery.
