This is kinda on topic, but I have an ice maker that works, but I am afraid to use the ice from it. Can anyone recommend a way to filter the water that goes to it?

I added an in-line icemaker filter in the outside fridge compartment. Bought a couple 1/4" sharkbite fittings or equivalent and some 1/4" plastic tubing.

We filter all the water going in our tank, plus have a filter to all the water going to any faucet. Never felt we needed more.

Like many things, the more it is used the better it works. Your generator will react the same way.

Pretty much the same here, I use a filter before it goes into the coach.

Take care,

We use a 1micron carbon block whole RV filter on the fresh water tank inlet for sediment that's combined with a pressure regulator and a 2nd 1micron ceramic + carbon filter that's split between a drinking water tap on the kitchen sink and the ice maker.
All are from the RV Water Filter Store http://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com. Rick was very helpful
