Lockable gas cap

Has anyone bought a lockable gas cap? If you have, where did you buy
it and do you have a Durmax Diesel or Vortec Gasser?

I've been meaning to ask this for some time and kept forgetting. I
asked one GM dealer and the parts manager said they don't carry such
things. I've been meaning to call a GM MDT dealer (they handle only
trucks) and will try to remember to do that on Monday.

Don,

I bought one at a local Menard's for $11.59 and the model is a Fram RG-504. The only issue is that the gasket that goes around the cap does not fit, so now I could leave the cap on the pump. So far that has not happened, but only time will tell.

P.S. I have the gasser, not sure if the Diesel would be same part number or not

I just picked up a universal lockable that said it would fit GM pickups
at Wal-Mart for about $10. They have quite a few universal models that
you might be able to find one the same size diameter.

I too have been looking for one of these so I certainly appreciate the inputs received so far!

Hmmm... sure hope our "751" keys don't fit the lock... ;;)

Thanks for reminding me. I was planning to take one lock off and seeing if a big box (Rona - like Home Depot) could rekey. They did a great job when we moved in here and rekeyed a lot of locks for me at a small charge. If they can do one then I'll take in the rest and get them off of the 751 treadmill.
