Taillight bulb replacement.

Yahoo Message Number: 488
The right directional signal bulbs are burnt or not working on our
Endura. Looks like most of the Kodiak Chassis MH use the same 4" round
light. I removed one of them today. But cannot figure out how to get
at the bulb. It appears the whole plastic assembly needs to be
replaced to fix the problem. I did check voltage. It is all the way to
back of light.
Thanks

Ron, I thought someone might have replied to this by now. My Jayco
does not have that type of lights. Mine are rectangular and "appear"
to be the type you can change the buld on. I have not had to replace a
buld, so I am not sure. However, I bought a new 14 ft utility trailer
about a year ago. It is a well built trailer, but I was surprised to
find out that it has the same type of "sealed" enclosure you are
talking about. I kept looking at it, tried this and tried that, but it
just is not made to come apart. I checked with the manufacturer and
sure enough, it is made to remain sealed. Now, it works great and is
very water and mud proof, but is a "throw away" once a buld goes out.
When I do have to replace one, I will go with the "LED" type.

Thanks for the reply.
Took one of the assemblies to NAPA. Sure enough, they are throw-away.
Got 2 assemblies and put them back in place. All is good. I got lights
again. Looked at the LED units. Price was about $40 each. Think I can
do better than that. My MH requires 4 of these lights.
