First day of retirement

I mentioned that I emailed my contact at Allison. Well, Carol and her husband Keith (who was with GM) both retired recently.

This is what they did on their first day of retirement.

That is the right attitude. Wish I'd done the same thing myself rather than continuing with consulting work and some board positions for six years. Now I'm clear of all of that by four years and find I still need the clock for early morning events (tennis, bean bag, bocci, golf) at our park in Florida. :)

As for me... when the momentous event rolled around, I donated all my
suits to the salvation Army and had a brief but poignant ceremony that
involved flame being applied to a rather large pile of neckties.
