CW clearance sale

This link was posted on RV.net. I found some prices that looked pretty good. It may be that we are now into a real estate type market that is free falling and no one really kmows what fair market value is. 220 clearance RVs makes me think CW as some real problems.

Last April as we approached Indianapolis on our way to Jayco, I noticed a CW that I thought was absolutely stuffed with MHs. I commented to DW at the time that I can visualize a lot of trouble coming if that inventory is not on consignment from the manufacturers.

I read recently that CW is starting to close some of their stores.... another casualty of the economy.

Yes, many CW's are being closed. They could well be an early casualty.

There may well be a glut of MHs on the market soon. I browsed ebay for a few minutes this evening and a lot of listings have no bids at all and a lot aren't getting near the reserve bid.

With lending rules tightened significantly the situation could get very bad and I could see several for manufacturers going under. One would have thought that as gas heads down towards $2.50 a gallon things might perk up but I suspect a lot of people do not feel secure at this point and do not want to make any major commitments.
