Recommendations: Road service plans?

Yahoo Message Number: 4234
Will be new owner of 2008 Gulfstream Conquest 6341 w/Kodiak, gas engine at end of the month.
Am looking into rv roadside service plans for when that worst case event happens.
Figured I need something else besides whatever comes with an insurance plan?
Am I on the right track here?
If so, what are the good companies w/ good rates & service?
Thanks,
Todd

I have the Good Sam road service. I've never needed it yet though  on wood> I got it instead of the RV addition to my AAA because I've
heard the AAA plan didn't deal with vehicles having dual rears of our
size. I think my Good Sam plan is $119 a year if I recall and it's had
good reviews everywhere I've read.

Take care,
Greg

I have had good luck with Coach-Net. They have saved my butt twice ... once when I owned a 40' DP that needed a tow, and once when I blew a dual when I had a truck camper. Admittedly, I am biased, but my experience has been good enough that I have seen no reason to change services.

That's the best way to judge if you ask me. Why fix it if it isn't
broken? ;-)

Agreed ............... have Good Sam but luckily haven't had to use it, regular insurance Good Sam for me was quite a bit higher $200 + than Progressive for line by line same coverage
and I was thinking Progressive was high until got that from them this am !

I found the same thing when it came to insurance. I have USAA for
everything, but they've quit doing motorhomes so they referred me to
Progressive. They actually have an agent in the USAA offices so it was
easy and it was WAY cheaper than my Good Sam quote. I've had them quote
me a couple times in the last 30 years and my USAA coverage was always
cheaper.

Take care,
Greg

I use the Good Sam Emergency Road Service, and am very happy with their service.
have used them several times and every time they really went out of their way to take care of our problem - The first time I used the GS ERS, the motorhome was new and had a brake problem. ERS contacted GM and assisted GM in finding a tow service to tow us to a medium duty truck dealer. The other two times we had blowouts and GS ERS contacted tire service people to come out (with new tires) and fix us where we were parked.
