Anybody heard from our deposed dictator?

Oops, I meant Don of course :-) I was wondering how his shakedown cruise
to Florida was going with the new rig?

Take care,
Greg

The Sparkes and Leslies are at the TN/GA border.

So far so good. Pleased with the Itasca and so far no problems. I've been monitoring the Escape fairly closely. Today the transmission housing and tranny fluid were a bit warmer than yesterday because of a higher ambient temp but the numbers I'm getting with my infrared thermometer are well below the problem range I gather.

We've had a fair amount of wind today so MPG not as good as hoped - and we had to go over the mountains at the N end of I-75 in TN. To my surprise the V10 made the climb very easily.

Got 8.2 mpg today which is about 0.6 mpg better than our usual 8.6 in the Kodiak. We'll be out of the hills and mountains tomorrow and I'm expecting an improvement.

Dave Sparke did a great job in BBQ'ing the Brats this evening - very tasty. We enjoyed them so much we now have to look for them in Fla - Boar's Head.

Thats it for now.

Don

Is that even legal? ;-)

That's great to hear.

Sounds like you're doing okay with it then. The temps have certainly
been way above normal here in NC and most other places.

"Fair amount of wind"? You say the cutest things.....it's blowing a damn
gale all over NC the last couple days.

That sounds like you're doing really well then given the hills too.

Boar's Head is pretty easy to find so you probably won't have any
problems there. Now you've got me thinking of brats and kraut and it's
only 8:30AM :-)

Have a safe rest of the trip and fill us in when you get settled.

Take care,
Greg

Someone from OHIO served you these instead of Tony Packo's Hungarian hot dogs. I would be embarrassed and I'm from Michigan.

Not to mention Tony Packo's pickles :-) I do a trade show every year in
Toledo and there is a Tony Packo's right down the block....can't stay
away :-)

Should have been 7.6 in Kodiak. If it had been 8.6 I'd have been delighted.

Got 8.5 today which is an improvement.

Have to admit we liked them. Tony's look good too. Are they available in FLA?

Well since Dave is from the German side of the state. I will refrain from making anymore comments about whose are best.
That being said. You need to check out Tony Packos in Toledo, OH more than a good place to eat.
Many stores around Detroit carry their products. One of them is Costco. But not all stores. Never know what you will find in FL.
Have you noticed that 7 Kodiak owners are planning to attend the Sweetheart Rally. Hoping for more.
