Question about air bags.

Great discussions and info about air bags I am going to see a place tomorrow maybe to install them.

Question?
I know there is a min and max recommended air pressure which it may be 20 and 80 psi, the question is , what if we loose for some reason all the air in the bags? does the truck handle just like before having the bags installed? does it work like that?
